THE GULF LEDGER / STANDARDS
Our standards and corrections
01
Our standards
- Accuracy first: every fact names its source, and we link to it.
- Neutral: we explain the economy; we do not take sides in politics.
- Clear dates: facts that change are labeled with the month they reflect.
- Original writing: we explain in our own words and do not copy text from our sources. Short quotes are marked and credited.
- Honest about AI: AI tools help us research and draft. A human editor checks every article against its sources before it is published. We never use AI to invent quotes, people or data.
- No advice: nothing on this site is financial, investment or legal advice.

Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and openly. When we make a significant correction, we add a note at the end of the article saying what changed and when. To report an error, email editor@thegulfledger.org with the page link and, if possible, a source.
